The sidearm or straight is another fundamental throw in any discipline that involves throwing a frisbee, including Disc Dog!
Although it’s one of the first throws that are taught, not everyone can do it well.
The difficulty lies in the fact that you need to use only your forearm.
The arm remains either attached to the body or remains static.
Unlike its cousin, the backhand, the frisbee spins in the opposite direction, and consequently, the dog must read it differently.
With this throw, you can cover long distances, and there’s an infinite variety of variations.
But we’ll see more of them later.
